Today we watched a video on the D-Day invasion. The actual invasion was well planned out. The airplanes would drop troops and later bombs while the warships would land at five different landing points. There were many causalities, but eventually we were able to get past the first wave and continued moving forward.

Today, we saw the next part of the movie. It talked about how the Americans and Japanese fought against each other in the Philippines. Although they fought bravely, the U.S. surrendered in that battle. They were then captured and sent to a camp and the walk to the camp was known as the Bataan Death [...]

Today’s part of the video talked about Pearl Harbor. By bombing Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, Japan ended up killing over 2,000 Americans. Yesterday, we watched part of a movie about World War II. It was kind of interesting. The part that we watched was about four different town and during the movie, they show some veterans and they also talked about what happened. I was surprised.
